Position Summary

Accountable and responsible for the delivery and achievement of sales and profit goals for the assigned area through effective overall strategies, planning, organizing, and management of Wyeth in the Region Area Trade Managers, National Key Account Execution Managers, and Regional Key Account Managers. Understands the interplay and effect of each sales channel towards another under the total area assigned. Leads and guides his/her team to achieve best-in-class, preferred partnership status with distributor, national, and regional key accounts.  Ensures all official accountabilites of accounts under responsibility are settled with Wyeth and vice-versa. Co-develops efficient route-to-market with Sales Capability and Route to Market Development teams from analysis of Distributors infrastructure and market and area potential. Ensures sales objectives for area are met with accurate supply from SD's thru accurate forecasts of Regional Activations Managers. Manages Wyeth in the Region and distributor teams thru a challenging, constructive, yet respectful and motivational working environment which fosters personnel success and development.

A day in the life of...

  • Accuracy in execution of Area Trade Managers’ and Regional Key Account Managers’ Annual Customer Plans. Assesses impact of marketing, medical, and external factors to distributor account performance. Oversees effectivity of each trade program executed by Area Trade Managers and Regional Key Account Managers vs. mechanics and investment entailed.
  • Achievement of Commissionable Sales objectives for all areas assigned.
  • Non-commissionable brands’ accuracy vs. demand plan.
  • Accuracy of actuals to per SKU forecasts of Regional Activations Managers per area assigned.
  • Ensures distribution of specific brands and SKU’s to the appropriate store and channel classifications for all areas assigned.
  • Ensures on-time shelf availability and minimized Out of Stock for specific brands and SKU’s in critical stores and channels for all areas assigned.
  • Ensures flawless execution of local and Cycle Plan programs in-store (thru coordination with National Key Account Execution Teams). All merchandising directives must be strictly implemented in all applicable branches. Activities done by competitors should always be tracked and given as feedback to Business Operations Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, etc.
  • Ensures 75% of month’s total actual sales for all distributors assigned must be delivered before the last 7 calendar days to ensure efficient logistics and delivery lead times.
  • Ensures account returns must be properly documented, evaluated, and picked-up on time after approval. Amounts must be within the allowed thresholds vs sales.
  • Ensures on-time invoicing of VMI stocks for distributors and receiving according to scheduled dates.
  • Ensures outstanding payables of distributors to Wyeth are settled within allowed duration.
  • Ensures complete submission of claims requirements by Area Trade Managers for all areas assigned to Regional Activations Managers for on-time reconciliation with Sales Control.
  • Understands and executes the investments required for all accounts handled vs. their share of business.
  • Weekly coaching and training of National Key Account Execution Manager / Distributor Account Manager regarding Basic Call Procedure, face-to-face communication, etc.

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or any related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as Key Account Manager or Area Trade Manager.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Trade Sales in a progressive FMCG company, preferably handled a People Manager role / became a team lead.
  • Attended Basic or Advanced Trade and Merchandising/Brand seminars.
