SCOPE OF THE ROLE

 

  • Actively collaborate with marketing and sales team of both Grocery and Specialist channels to include category thinking and shopper perspective in brand plans;
  • To undertake the detailed Category Assessment in potential Customer, including in store Shopper Insights, to identify/quantify opportunities for growth, to identify the opportunities for improvements in range and space/merchandising and to provide the Customer with regular insights, data and performance tracking on Category performance to enable clear decisions on the category;
  • To undertake the Category Assessment across the Specialist Channel to identify/quantify opportunities for growth and to identify the appropriate Category Drivers for the Channel , providing regular insights, data and performance tracking of the Category performance to enable clear decisions on the category;
  • To ensure a consistent Nestlé Purina approach to Category Planning with potential Customers which leverages industry/Nestlé Purina best practices to implement the Category Vision and Drivers across all Channels & makes Nestlé Purina the partner of choice for priority Customers;
  • Ensure relevant Customer, Channel and Shopper insights are fed into the ICP process to make sure effective executable plans are created;
  • To ensure the correct set of KPIs are in place for the business and in each customer so that targets can be set and achievements recorded each year
  • Actively seek best practice across multiple categories and work on ways to apply these practice in pet care helping driver category growth and sustainable advantages for Nestlé Purina.
