Nutrition Advocacy Executive
MAIN PURPOSE:
To lead and implement best-in-class CSV nutrition programs to enhance and strengthen Nestlé’s corporate reputation with external and internal stakeholders; to build recognition of Nestlé as the leading NHW organization; to influence external NHW regulatory policies to facilitate positive business operations.
- Lead the NHW dimension of innovation and renovations by guiding the cross-functional team on the product's nutrition delivery in consideration with the desired consumer benefit and trends, nutrition and health claims, nutrition landscape, Nestlé's nutrition commitments, NHW Strategy (Good For You, Good Foundation), fortification strategy, and food bills and regulations. Close collaboration with SBU-NHW, R&D Center, Product & Technology Center, Nestlé Research.
- Reinforce Nestlé's NHW recognition through communication by showcasing the nutrition credentials of Nestlé products in the development of Brand and Corporate TVC storyboards, Digital materials, Radio Ads, PR materials, OOH materials, POSM, activations and stakeholder presentations. Subject Matter Expert for Brand and Corporate nutrition talks to consumers, customers and stakeholders. Guide brand communication, challenge competitor, and defend Nestlé brands through expertise in Ad Standard Council guidelines as ASC Panel Expert and as member of Philippine Association of National Advertisers.
- Conduct clinical research studies with the University, Research (e.g. Food and Nutrition Research Institute) and Medical Institution for ownable science-based communication. Close collaboration with Nestlé Research.
- Train Brand Builders on category nutrition by facilitating and as Subject Matter Expert in NHW Masterclass and Booster sessions
- Lead the Academe programs and partnerships through the UPLB Post-Graduate Nutrition and Sustainability Scholarship; Sustainable Nutrition and Regenerative Agriculture e-learning modules; and Nutrition Masterclass (NMC) Interschool Competition
- Collaborate with KOLs, nutrition organization (e.g. Nutritonist-Dietitians' Association of the Philippines) in engaging nutrition and health professionals to drive Nestlé advocacy topics through the Nestlé Nutrition Masterclass website
- Lead Kasambuhay for Good Fest to showcase the Corporate and Brand CSVs and products. Collaborate with internal [Business Unit (marketing), Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Corporate Affairs] and external [key stakeholders (LGU, DepEd, DA, NGO, DENR, FNRI), activation agency, PR]. Efficient management of resources.
- Provide timely nutrition reports and nutrition survey results to Top Management, Brand Builders, as basis of SBR and ICP; and Nestlé's achievement of nutrition commitments on corporate communication and campaigns.
KEY EXPERIENCES:
- University degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or life science field with nutrition specialization; Preferably M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics credential (e.g., Registered Dietitian or equivalent)
- 3-5 years experience in the food industry, academe, public health nutrition organization and/or nutrition communications, and 3 years in Corporate Wellness /Corporate Affairs / Corporate Communications/ Marketing at Nestle or other FMCG companies
- Knowledge of public health nutrition, nutrition assessment, nutrition survey, nutrition trend and consumer studies
- Experience in advocacy-type of job or interaction with public KOLs is a plus
- Knowledge of CODEX, FDA Regulations and Labelling Guidelines
- Understanding of product formulation and ingredients
- Experience in nutrition marketing and advertising
- Experience in developing educational materials (brand presentation deck, digital materials, PR talks, articles)
- Knowledge of public health nutrition, nutrition assessment, nutrition survey, nutrition trend and consumer studies
- Experience in conducting research and clinical studies, project management and leading cross-functional team
