SHE Executive (Safety Health & Environment) for Physical Logistics

 

Main Purpose of the Job - Establish and maintain, on behalf of top Management, an active Occupational Health, Safety and Risk management organisation throughout the Company, according to company policy and local regulation.

 

Key Output:

SHE Program Development and Management
- Leads Nestle Integrated Management System (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)

• Support the different sites OSHR organisations to develop and implement locally adapted management tools by expert assistance, training and awareness programs. 
• Ensure adequate site procedures are in place to minimise specific risks of the different site activities (e.g. hot work permitting, risk assessments etc.). 
• Support all sites in the development and management of a risk management policy and necessary emergency and contingency plans to minimize the consequences of any foreseeable incident.
• Track site OSHR performance against agreed targets and ensure that all external and internal reporting requirements are satisfied in a timely and accurate manner. 
• Ensures strict implemetation of incident investigation and reporting procedures and provide support for investigations and determination of preventive and corrective measures.
• Lead site OSHR audits, inspections and assessments as requested by the Management to ensure that work in sites is carried out according to the agreed OSHR policy and that safety and security are fully integrated into all activities, i.e. handled as a multi disciplinary activity rather than a narrowly technical one.
• Track emerging OSHR issues and propose to Management appropriate steps for dealing with them. 
• Support Public Affairs to promote awareness of improvement efforts made and results obtained In the OSHR area.

 

SHE Compliance
Provide necessary advice, guidance and support to all parts of the business on SH&E -  Risk and Opportunities matters and monitor compliance with Company Policy and legal requirements.

 

Ensures functional team engagement
- Coaching & Mentoring of 3PL Site SHE Officer and PCO  to develop the organizational and individual capability necessary to standardize and optimize day-to-day activities as they relate to SHE
- Knowledge in safety in warehouse operations & infrastructure (MHE, Racking, Trucking, working at heights, PPE's, etc)
- Contribute to the elaboration and implementation of a safety, health and environment concept in important construction or installation projects.
- Support the SH&E pillar and ensure all standard operating procedures addresses relevant SH&E requirements and apply appropriate operational controls.
- Establish the Operational Safety, Health & Environment risk and opportunities related investment and operational budgets for the site.

 

Key Experience:

'1. Degree or diploma in an engineering or science discipline, with degree or diploma in a field of safety at work.
2.  Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in OSHR at management level in an industrial environment and/or Logistics Set-up. 3PL exposure if a +
3. Strong motivation to make a long term career in the OSHR area. 
4. Ideally, should have already had extensive exposure and be known within the area of OSHR by government representatives and other relevant organizations.
5. Must be fluent in both oral and written English.

Corporate Training in: 
1. Good knowledge of most effective approaches, systems & procedures in managing OSHR.
2. Good knowledge of Nestle OSHR Policies and systems and how they relate to comparable international standards. 
3. Understanding of the human nature and social issues related to effectively managing OSHR.
4. Basic multifunctional knowledge of technical systems and hardware relevant to OSHR. 
5. Keeps abreast of developments in technology and equipment.

Years of Experience: Five (5) first-hand work experience in handling SHE programs.

Attitude: 
1. Strong ability to influence people not under his authority to achieve OSHR objectives.
2. Proactive and able to see and initiate long term improvements.
3. Receives ideas and suggestions well and able to develop them through.
4. Committed to a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty and quality. 
5. Committed to the concepts of sustainable development and continuous Improvement.
