Regional Supply Planner
Main Purpose of the Job:
- Build supply plans respecting the agreed level of available capacity to ensure that finished and semi-finished goods are available with high freshness, at the right stock location at the right time and quantity, to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost (optimize service at the best E2E cost)
- To manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that also takes into account the distribution costs
Key Output:
To drive end to end supply planning in ensuring availability while balancing flexibility and reliability:
• Establish an 18 month production plan for the factories within the scope of their responsibility (including sub-contracting, co-manufacturing, co-packers, co-fillers, where relevant) that respects available capacity defined
• Establish Committed Capacity, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments etc. and provide information on labor requirements.
• Analyze net dispatch requirements and prepare/maintain a coordinated set of supply and deployment plans of finished (or semi-finished) goods in order to meet customer demand within min/max stock corridors, whilst minimizing the total delivered costs, taking into account the network complexity, supply and transportation constraints
• Ensure smooth implementation of promotional activities and new product launches protecting COF and minimizing write off
• Establish and revise regularly the stock policies for Finished Goods for all stock locations, together with Planners of Receiving Markets for IMS products. Pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations.
To proactively identify opportunities and impovement in collaboration with the cross functional team:
• Provide visibility on future supply issue or constraint and support decision making by providing simulated alternative supply scenarios (scenario planning) that balance available capacity, materials, and demand.
• Challenge Manufacturing team and Production planners on regular basis to drive optimum FG inventory required freshness level.
• Challenge and support Demand Planner to improve Demand Planning Accuracy
• Monitor requirements evolution and determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply and highlight to affected function
• To be Process Champion (Champs) of a user-specific/defined process (ie ways of working, etc), may not necessarily the same scope as that of a Super User or a Subject Matter Expert
To effectively communicate relevant information highlighting all supply issues, detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade offs and ensuring that actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process and the long term master production schedule.
• Ensure proper Event Management related SNP visibility (new product launches, discontinuations etc..)
• Contribute and/or drive to key meeting & reviews as required (DOR, WOR, WPR, OpsDSR, etc..).
• Support and/or drive NCE/LEAN initiatives, in relation to DSP
To fully support long term planning by driving discussion with cross functional team in his/her category/other categoies that may impact his/her scope of area:
• Actively support the Annual Volume Commitment and Strategic Volume Planning process (i.e. Capex Planning) by providing capacity simulations, scenario planning and contingency proposals.
• Provide visibility to the Transportation, Logistics and Procurement teams on medium/long term horizons to prepare the transportation negotiations and transportation capacity booking
Ensure system planning is utilized sustainably in his/her defined scope of area
• Review and maintain all relevant master data (reliable visibility in the system)
• Utilized health checks and actively housekeeps as per the weekly planning cycle
Key Experience:
'At least 5 years or more of relevant operational experience in one or several of the following areas:
• Factory Planning, Factory Logistics
• Other Supply Planning positions such as Manufacturing Production Planning & Control (MPS) or Manufacturing Finished Goods Inventory Planning & Control(SNP) or Manufacturing Production Scheduling (DPS) or Supply Chain Planning & Operations (IMSP) or IMS, Import/Export, Foreign Trade departments
• Procurement
• Factory Production Team Lead
• Helpful to have had exposure in Customer Service / Customer Facing Supply Chain
• IMS, Import/Export, Foreign Trade departments
Relevant operational practice in some of the following areas:
• Product Life Cycle process
• Factory Master Data Management
• CAPEX
• Strategic Planning / SBR
• NCE
