A day in the life of...

Purpose of the Job:  Support the Supply Chain Control Manager on a day to day as well as on a long term strategic view. Provide visibility around costs related to the Supply Chain processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS. Support the Business and SCM Operational Units in optimizing distribution cost.

Key Outputs:

  • Establish and provide full Performance visibility in Supply Chain Operations. Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in Supply Chain
  • Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) across Supply Chain; and forecasts across Supply Chain; follow up  and monitoring of progress to close gaps ensuring Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed
  • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the Supply Chain budget with Supply Chain management; Perform revisions or simulations if needed.
  • Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests
  • Assist in ensuring clear control through implementation and compliance with internal controls within Supply Chain.
  • Promote clear understanding of financial key figures and costing within Supply Chain, including organizing training sessions for non-specialists.
  • Provide support to the Business Units in optimizing their cost of distribution through cost transparency, cost improvements and variance analysis.

 

 

 

What will make you successful
  • Formal financial qualification of appropriate level (degree or similar)
  • Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g.: Costing, Plant controlling, Accounts payable) ideally in a factory or supply chain
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
  • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
  • Proficiency in English and language of the market (where applicable)
  • Good Communicator, both orally and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
