Position Summary

An opportunity full time, permanent role currently exists for a Product & Packaging Technologist to join our team based in our Cambria Park Factory in Manukau. 
You will be responsible delivering product innovation and renovation projects across a diverse Culinary portfolio as well as continuous improvement projects and ensure compliance with Nestlé policy & procedures with respect to quality, regulatory, competitiveness and profitability.

A day in the life of...

 
•    Develop and execute NPD and I&R in accordance with I2L project briefs within a cross functional team
•    Use Culinary Arts to create products that will delight consumers
•    Lead factory trials and evaluate results to ensure an optimised product/packaging design
•    Lead the product, packaging and process for the site by providing expertise to projects and production as required
•    Ensure standards for products and packaging meet all aspects of technical, food safety & regulatory compliance.
•    Set up and maintain raw material and recipe data in Nestlé’s recipe management systems including all nutritional and allergen information
•    Use and maintain SAP for development recipes, recipe changes, ingredient data and packaging materials.
•    Create and maintain technical artwork data sheets and streamline processes for generation of product technical data information
•    Create, modify and maintain manufacturing dossiers and validate product and packaging using a systematic change management process
•    Continuous improvement of system related processes and data, working on simplification wherever possible.
•    Contribute to customer engagement on technical and product enquires and the maintenance of prompt response times

•    Enjoy working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment.
•    Tertiary qualified in Food Science or Technology, Engineering or related field. 
•    Ideally 3-5 years industry experience.
•    Experience with food related packaging preferred
•    Previous experience and familiarity working with SAP and Recipe Management Systems preferred
•    A working understanding of Australian and New Zealand Food Regulations is beneficial
