Position Summary

 

Nestlé is hiring a Factory Supply Chain Manager for a permanent position. This pivotal role is responsible for managing, guiding and developing all supply chain functions within the plant to ensure production and business goals are achieved safely at the required performance levels and at optimal cost. The position leads end‑to‑end supply chain operations—including production planning, material management, warehousing and logistics—while driving service excellence, operational efficiency and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational expertise and a commitment to fostering collaboration, safety and high‑performing teams.

 

A day in the life

 

  • Lead, develop and mentor factory supply chain teams to deliver accurate, achievable production schedules across manufacturing and filling/packaging aligned with the Master Production Schedule.
  • Oversee inbound material planning to ensure timely, cost‑effective availability of raw and packaging materials while maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage warehousing operations for raw materials, packaging and finished goods, ensuring compliance with Good Warehousing Practices, accurate inventory records and proper stock rotation.
  • Foster seamless operations through strong communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders (Factory, Supply Chain, Procurement) and external partners (Suppliers, Customs, Transport).
  • Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and CARE regulations across all supply chain activities.
  • Partner with peer factory supply chain leaders, Lean teams and cross‑functional groups to share best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop talent through coaching, career planning and succession management, while promoting a strong customer‑service mindset across the plant.

 

 

What makes you successful

 

  • Proven operational leadership experience in manufacturing, supply planning, warehousing, inbound material management or production planning within a market or plant environment.
  • Solid understanding of key supply chain concepts, including detailed production planning, inbound material management, material handling, stock level impacts, quality and SHE best practices.
  • Working knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to drive high‑performance logistics or similar optimisation projects.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including cost drivers, budget management, return on investment and awareness of market strategy, product launches and industry trends.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration, with the ability to build trusted relationships and align on shared objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability in people development, coaching, succession planning and fostering a performance‑driven, continuous‑improvement culture.
  • Excellent planning, problem‑solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate business issues and proactively mitigate risks.
