Maintenance fitter

One (1) Day Shift (7:30AM-4:00PM)

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team and play a key role in keeping our production lines running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute maintenance work orders with accuracy and on time (including reporting, time confirmations, and close-out)
  • Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving food processing, utilities and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. and all activities comply with food safety, quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
  • Manage parts correctly and follow proper store procedures
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively contribute to TPM and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, breakdown analysis, etc.)
  • Work closely with operators to build equipment care and reliability knowledge
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing maintenance costs and increasing equipment availability.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Trade qualification with strong maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance systems
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and results
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with automated production and packaging equipment.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
