Fantastic Opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Manager to join a highly engaged team and in a role where you can really leave your mark. Based in Wiri, this role will ensure that all maintenance activities enhance people's and product's safety, product quality, protection of the environment and Operations performance, by providing professional and technical engineering leadership to the maintenance and production functions (TPM-PM) in the factory.


A day in the life…


This role is varied so no two days are the same.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the maintenance planner and technical store person to ensure maintenance activities are planned and performed in an optimized way, other key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Enable high performance Operations, providing asset Maintenance & Planning according to the Nestlé Strategy (using TPM as the multi-disciplined approach to maintain/improve fixed assets, and AMM to manage their life cycle). 
  • Support and contribute to ensure proper technical store management.
  • Build the maintenance budget (zero base), ensuring justification, request, implementation, reporting and planned maintenance of each asset, tracking in line with Nestlé guidelines.
  • Ensure that the needs of the factory are fulfilled, as per Production requirements, that all utilities that come or may come in contact with product are treated according to the acceptance food safety criteria for product/processes.
  • Support the technical stores management through a proper link between the planned maintenance activities and the required spare parts, in advance, to help the whole technical store optimization process.
  • Ensure optimum energy/water consumption at factory level, by implementing proper M&I activities to the factory assets and respecting SH&E policies. 
  • Leveraging SAP system to manage site maintenance plans and negotiating cross functionally to implement them


What will make you successful


You will have strong demonstrated experience in Engineering and will have:

 

  • Degree/Diploma in an Engineering or Technical Bachelor discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial engineering, or similar), including FMCG, food processing plants and technologies (Maintenance and Utilities), food safety and hygienic engineering.
  • 3 years’ experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry (as Engineer Supervisor, Industrial Services, M&I or E&A/MES Engineer, or other similar positions).
  • Experience in Fixed Assets Maintenance, including the preparation, definition, control and follow up of maintenance budgets (preferably including exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution).
  • Personnel Supervisory experience with technical teams, Mechanical and Electrical (contractors, suppliers or other 3rd parties).
  • Participation in the development of small engineering improvement projects, defining technical equipment for Production and/or Industrial Services.
  • Participation in the start-up or commissioning of technical equipment and/or production line(s).
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams aiming to process or packing optimisation.
  • Work following defined indicators/Objectives, and proactively tracking them.
  • Clear and effective communication skills are essential.
  • The right person must be proactive, thorough, and detailed, with a high level of relationship building.
