Opportunity currently exists for a Safety, Health and Environment  (SHE) Coordinator to join our Safety, Health and Environment team in Cambria Park Factory in Manukau. Reporting to the SHE Manager, you will lead, co-ordinate and facilitate with all employees on the implementation of SHE strategies and management systems to ensure compliance and improved SHE Performance in Cambria Park Factory operations.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

 

  • Support and assist with the development of plans to improve SHE performance at Cambria Park. Ensure centralised tracking and reporting of monthly SHE-PM report and incident statistics and analysis.
  • Liaise with SHE Co-ordinators across other Nestlé Oceania factories and Head Office to ensure consistency in SHE management procedures and practices.
  • Assist with the training and development of all managers, work groups and HSR's in effective incident and injury management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a sustainable behaviour based safety process.
  • Develop and Implement SHE resources (toolkits, promotional & educational material). Maintain and update SHE intranet site.
  • Ensure Accident Compensation Corporation matters are managed effectively in accordance with regulations and legislation.
  • Liaise with medical practitioners for all employees regarding return to work plans for sick/injured employees. Ensure a comprehensive rehabilitation service is provided including liaison with external rehab providers and stakeholders.
  • Support SHE Manager and Engineering Manager in maintaining the Nestlé Environmental Management System. Assist with the implementation of energy, waste and water minimisation programs.

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
  • Ideally a University graduate or equivalent with a qualification in Safety, Health & Environment, HR or a related discipline.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role in either a FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and people skills are essential as well as your adaptability to change and strong relationship building skills.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.
