Position summary

The KOL Manager role drive advocacy with key opinion leaders in relevant disciplines, including but not limited to nutrition specialists and clinical influencers in this field, f

Serve as NPPCOF spokesperson (internal & external) on all technical matters where a veterinary opinion is required.

A day in a life of...

Advocacy Role:

 

  • Develop and lead a veterinary Key Opinion Leader strategy that is embedded into the overall business strategy.  
  • Develop a network of veterinary KOLs and build strong trusting relationships, promoting the science and equity of Purina to be recognized as the most trusted pet food company. 
  • Define and develop programs & initiatives to communicate & amplify our science with key influencers and professional vets authority.
  • Take part to the Veterinary Channel Business strategy definition, identify key strategic veterinary organizations for collaborative partnerships and build equity by association (AFVAC & specialized group such as GEMI, GEDAC,  Ordre national des vétérinaires, SNVEL).
  • Develop or coordinate case studies or publication for PPPVD within appropriate KOL or French vets universities (in relation with Emena technical team & PTC Amiens if needed).
  • Coordinate Technical Advisor responsibility at vets nurses school.
  • Is in charge of Purina Institute initiatives roll out at market level..

And...

Scientific / Technical  Role:

  • Provide technical support and direct veterinary interface for Care-lines when specific veterinary expertise is required  ( To be confirmed Mid term perspectives )  (*)
  • Provide & coordinate technical support for NNPCOF Technical Advisor or Veterinary Delegates and including employee trainings to increase technical and nutritional understanding & capabilities.
  • Support product launches, generate evidence-based veterinary messages, provide knowledge of new veterinary specialites, channels or trends.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in cat and dogs (wide knowledge about pet physiology and veterinary medicine) and Purina's products through training, self study and market evaluation.
  • Develop and implement local vet initiatives having both the objective to reinforce engagement and activate the associated strategic initiatives
  • Validate the scientific communication.
  • Deliver information on Purina’s products and services : Position Paper/QA for any nutritional and scientific topics (*)
  • Contribute to the promotion of Pets@work ( dog check health, conferences, advise  ) ( *)
  • Contribute to the promotion of the pet obesity prevention.
And...

Communication Role:

 

  • Handling selection of strategic guests, invitations, registrations, and liaison with  EMENA or locally arranged symposia and events
  • Public /media relations (TV, magazines, round tables..) related to the vet  channel to showcase our Purina Science and Expertise internally and externally to Purina
  • Spokesperson (internal & external) on all technical matters where a veterinary opinion is required.(*)
  • Keeping KOL's informed of news on Purina developments and products spreading results
  • Communicate persuasively the technical superiority, practical application and commercial benefits of Purina's products.
  • Adopt and amplify regional initiatives having both the objective to reinforce engagement of local KOLs, and activate the associated strategic initiatives.

Contribute  to enrich the internal communication about nutrition topics (*)

What will make you successful?
  • Minimum 5 years experience in KOL management or in scientific communication (academic profile)
  • Experience with engaging KOLs, Advocacy groups and scientific associations
  • Veterinary degree preferable phd in nutrition
  • Experience in veterinary industry, pharmaceutical company or Nutrition Company preferred
  • Has deep understanding of the value of digital communications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and influencing sklls.
  • Experience in public speaking and/or lecturing
  • Digitally connected in the Ecosystem
  • Empowerment

  • Fluent in  English
