Position summary
As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process, ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing of goods and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop supplier relationships, and contribute to cost optimization initiatives. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in procurement within a global organization committed to sustainability and delivering high-quality products.
A day in the life…
- Collaborate mainly with Procurement Sourcing and Indirect Materials (S&IM) Buyer to understand procurement needs and requirements of Marketing & Corporate Functions
- Assist in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services for Marketing & Corporate functions
- Support the contracting process with suppliers, ensuring prompt delivery/quality and compliance
- Support handling of promo items (i.e through order windows to stakeholders etc)
- Create & update Procurement supplier lists, support VLC (Vendor Life Cycle) and other Procurement administrative tasks (i.e. POs, blocked invoices etc)
- Stay updated on best practices in procurement, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills
What makes you successful
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software or SAP is a plus
- Strong commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
