Position Summary
The Strategic Buyer at Nestlé is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure the availability of high-quality goods and services at optimal costs and time. This role requires strong negotiation & communication skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier & internal stakeholders relationships. Emphasis and priority will be given to well rounded and teamplayer profiles.

A day in the life…

  • Perform supplier market & category analysis, supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) understanding, as well as the map of how sourcing process and channels work within the locally managed category (At Market) and identify improvements
  • Prepare and execute negotiation events seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers for the locally managed categories
  • Ensure Compliance to Nestlé's business principles, policies, standards and Procurement Policy, Procurement Standardized Model, Nestlé Supplier Code, Best Practices, etc.
  • Ensure high ethical standards

What makes you successful

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA / MSc) or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the food and beverage industry
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, supplier evaluation methodologies, and contract negotiation strategies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba) is desirable
  • High ethical standards and team player profile
