Position Summary

Participate in the development of new products to commercialisation stage and improve existing products in accordance with the strategic marketing plan, ensuring Nestle standards and procedures are maintained with respect to sustainability, quality, and nutrition.

A day in the life of...

•    Participate in the identification & development of innovative, cost effective new product execution and manufacturing strategies 
•    Conduct feasibility studies, manage product costing, and determine optimal product design, formulation and production process. 
•    Maintain knowledge of relevant legislations (eg. local Food legislation, NAL safety legislation etc) 
•    Compile the PMD (preliminary manufacturing dossier), Product Files, TA (technical approval) and appropriate documentation when a new product is launched, including Product Release criteria
•    Conduct reformulation and nutritional assessment for 60:40+ consumer preference compared to competitor products.
•    Ensure required standards for product or packaging meet all aspects of the Technical Acceptance procedures and Regulatory and Food Safety compliance.
•    Take part in sensory evaluation panel work for new & current products and evaluate competitor’s products.
•    Drive sustainable solutions in product packaging to deliver Nestlé’s commitment to more sustainable packaging.

What will make you successful

•    You are degree qualified in Food Science or Food Technology
•    Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
•    Demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
•    Ideally you will have 3-5+ years Technologist experience.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.
