2024 Science & Analytical Internship

Position Summary:

As part of the NDC Science team an intern will gain experience and exposure to the Science & Technology Research process which includes Product development and support as well as method development/optimization on antioxidants solutions for oil stabilization and emulsion science and technologies.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Rapid prototyping of liquid beverages with new ingredients
  • Analytical testing of prototype samples
  • Emulsion physical characterization and new methods development
  • Oil stability analysis (OSI, PV, pAV, Oxitest analysis) 
  • Analyze data trends and variation linked to product development challenges
  • Communicate findings and results via internal reports

 

Requirements:

  • Must be working toward a PhD or Master’s degree in Food Science or related Science (at least one semester left after internship)
  • Full-time, paid opportunity  
  • Availability – start time is to start Q2/Q3 in 2023 for 6 month duration
  • Experience with experimental design is a plus
  • Experience with microscope, particle size, zeta potential and other micro particle characterization a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
