Position Summary
Support pilot plant operations through the evaluation of processes, processing parameters, and equipment for the production of soluble coffee and liquid beverage research samples. Assist process engineers and specialists in the evaluation of new components and equipment for production of powdered and liquid beverages.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with and eventually lead troubleshooting efforts in the pilot plant
Coordinate maintenance planning and calibration scheduling for the pilot plant
Ensure ongoing operations in the pilot plant via issue identification and work order management
Under direct supervision plan, organize, and develop products/processes/trials in accordance with project brief
Effectively communicate project status and results through written technical documentation and oral presentations.
Participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities within the department or facility.
Participate in factory or pilot plant trials, as required.
Participate in the transfer of processes from pilot plant scale to industrialization
Comply with Nestle Quality Management System and all other company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)
BSc Degree in Engineering (chemical/mechanical/food processing)
Up to 2 years related experience preferred
Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications
Good interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
Basic engineering knowledge about processes and equipment for processing powders and liquids.
Passion for learning and understanding processes demonstrated through hands-on involvement and troubleshooting capability
Strong planning and organization skills
