Position Snapshot

The Nestlé Development Center Marysville is part of a worldwide R&D Network that provides technical development expertise for beverage product, manufacturing and packaging processes. We develop products and processes for countries all over the world. Our multi-cultural center is one of the oldest Nestle R&D Centers and we are very proud of our beverage heritage. As part of the NDC Science & Analytical team an intern will gain experience and exposure to the Science & Technology Analytical team process which includes analytical project support and method development/optimization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform Gas Chromatography analyses (sample preparation, instrument set-up, routine maintenance)
Analyze chromatography using Agilent ChemStation and Mass Hunter Software
Analyze data trends and variation linked to product development challenges
Communicate findings and results via internal reports

Requirements

Must be working toward a PhD or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related Science (at least one semester left after internship)
Preferred 3.0 or above cumulative GPA
Full-time, paid opportunity
Availability – start time is May/June in 2022 for 6 month duration
Experience with gas chromatography required, exposure to Mass Spectrometry a plus

Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
