Position Summary:
Senior EMI Technicians work independently to provide advanced asset care services to equipment in the pilot plants of NDC Marysville. Asset care includes electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation (EMI) maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled electrical, mechanical and instrumentation trade services to pilot plant facilities to maintain equipment which includes breakdown, planned and inspection work orders
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive-controlled equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, valves, pneumatic devices, control valves, MCC buckets, motor starters and overloads and related electrical/control system equipment
- Read and update electrical/control schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams; capture work completed in maintenance management software
- Provide mechanical maintenance and repair to pumps, drive systems, bucket elevators, augers, and other related equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve site, identify systemic issues, organize cost-effective solutions, and drive for completion
- Conduct analysis to resolve identified problems; develop and propose solutions
- Support with training newer Technicians, as needed
- Promote a safe work environment, speak up when unsafe or questionable conditions are observed
- Support Sustainability Roadmap for the site
Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)
- Minimum 3-5 years industrial electrical/programming experience required, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to perform calibrations, installation, and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&ID's, pneumatic diagrams, hydraulic diagrams
- Experience working with safety procedures such as lockout/tag out, arc flash, etc.
- Proficient knowledge of inter-workings of pumps, gearboxes, valves, and related components that comprise liquid processing equipment
- Proficient knowledge of liquid processing equipment (i.e. homogenizers, UHT, fillers, etc.)
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, AMM/SAP experience a plus)
