Nestlé Development Center Marysville is one of the longest-standing R&D centers in Nestlé's worldwide network. This role will lead product development projects within R&D. These developments will be medium to large projects for global brands and may involve multiple markets, regions, or zones.  Must be able to manage project activities in full autonomy.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D projects from concept to launch.
    • Direct the project approach, setup, status reporting and closing, including resourcing requirements
    • Consolidate data for I2L Sustainability deliverables and share with project stakeholders
    • Ensure project delivery on time, cost, and quality using PM tools (Project Schedule, Escalation, Risk & Opportunity, Stakeholder map, etc.)
    • Manage cross functional team and stakeholders using transversal leadership; foster collaboration and encourage diversity of thought
    • Deliver updates to Senior leaders, VIPs, or Board members as needed
    • Ensure all deliverables are met as per Idea to Launch (I2L) process.
  • Effectively collaborate with the product development lead on products/processes/experiments/trials.
  • Continue to develop project management skills and contribute to PM knowledge sharing, including participation in PM forums with the Nestle PM community
  • Lead and train staff and coach more junior PMs in Project Management principles and tools
  • Comply with all Nestlé Integrated Management Systems and all other company policies and procedures

 

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • BS Degree in Food Science or Chemistry, or another related field is required
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing complex projects, ideally in the Food & Beverage industry
  • Nestlé R&D Project Management Level 1 recognition, PMP accreditation, or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge in the areas of product development and/or food processing a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • DMAIC problem solving experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovation spirit, open minded, dynamic, autonomous profile
  • Must be able to work in a cross functional team
  • Must be able to manage project activities in full autonomy
