Position Summary
Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Beyond our work, we support local animal shelters, enriching the lives of pets everywhere. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Production Operator you safely and efficiently operate production equipment. You will monitor and operate equipment, lead troubleshooting and make adjustments to provide optimal equipment performance. Operators ensure the lines are continuously supplied with materials and producing efficiently the output of their area. This position will be responsible actively participating in the continuous improvement of safety, quality and performance of the area.
- Safely operator, monitor, and problem solve in designated production area
- Maintain sanitation of operational area and equipment to high standards and address issues as identified
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies through proper storage routines and data entry
- Perform Standard Routines to include routine cleaning and equipment inspections to identify defects to complete or coordinate repairs
- Safely and efficiently perform routines to change product in production area, startup product, and monitor performance throughout run
- Ensure that products meet all quality standards by monitoring production parameters, sampling/testing and responding accordingly
The pay progression plan is as follows:
Production Operator E: $24.93
Production Operator D: $27.28
Production Operator C: $30.81
Production Operator B: $35.53
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced and performance measured environment
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.09. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
