Role: Assistant Manager, Supplier Quality Management
Location: LB-Head Office Beirut
POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality requirements across warehouses, co-packers, distributors, and co-manufacturers in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, and Iraq.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
-Manage the end-to-end compliance in Contract Manufacturing and Supply Chain
-Define and update specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools within the area of responsibility, covering Contract Manufacturing and Supply Chain in Lebanon, Jordan,Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
-Contribute to the definition and follow-up of quality KPIs for Contract Manufacturing and the Supply Chain.
-Assess and ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) at Nestlé Lebanon Head Office, and develop required documentation as needed.
-Manage customer and quality complaints across Lebanon, Jordan,Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
-Support the consumer complaint handling process by coordinating product collection, replacements, and store inspections when required.
-Ensure implementation of root cause analysis following incidents, near misses, damages during transport or storage, and sensitive consumer complaints, using Nestlé Continuous Excellence tools (e.g., GSTD, DMAIC).
-Conduct training sessions, promote a quality-focused mindset on the shop floor, and support the team’s competency development in quality-related areas.
-Raise IMS complaints and follow up with suppliers to identify root causes and define corrective action plans.
-Ensure compliance with the product destruction process.
-Conduct retail quality assessments.
-Implement cost-saving and defect-reduction projects within Contract Manufacturing and the Supply Chain.
-Manage the pest control service provider contract at Nestlé Lebanon Head Office and Warehouse.
-Handle infestation incidents in warehouses across Lebanon, Jordan,Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
-Conduct quality and food safety audits in warehouses and Contract Manufacturing sites.
-Coordinate the implementation of FSSC 22000 and Nestlé Quality Management System requirements, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
-Develop, maintain, and update HACCP studies for all product categories, ensuring the effective execution of HACCP-related activities, including validation, verification, and ongoing compliance.
-Lead investigations of consumer and customer complaints related to CoMan products produced in the levant cluster, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.
-Maintain and update the Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS), ensuring full compliance with product release requirements and quality standards.
-Conduct regular factory floor inspections (Gemba walks), identify gaps, establish corrective action plans, and monitor the timely closure of identified issues.
-Ensure compliance with sensory evaluation standards, including the proper execution, documentation, and utilization of sensory testing for raw materials and finished products.
-Develop, implement, and sustain an effective Foreign Body Prevention Program to minimize contamination risks.
-Ensure the effective development, implementation, and continuous improvement of pathogen monitoring programs across Co-Mans.
-Serve as a quality representative for Innovation and Renovation initiatives, supporting all NPDI projects by ensuring quality and food safety requirements are integrated from the early stages, including preliminary HACCP (p-HACCP), allergen management, recipe management, and trial activities.
-Review analytical testing results against product release specifications to ensure compliance of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products with local regulatory requirements and Nestlé standards.
-Manage and oversee change control processes for raw materials, equipment, processes, and other applicable changes, ensuring proper risk assessment, approval, implementation and post validation.
