A day in the life of...

The Business Process Automation Manager will serve as the key leader of the Automation arm within the Data and Technology Team. Reporting directly to this Manager will be the Business Solution Automation (RPA) Leads and the Tech Lead. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive the team towards achieving the Center and Team OMP and KPIs, as well as realizing the vision of becoming a Digital Knowledge Hub. Collaboration with the NBS Manila ManCom, global stakeholders, and other senior leaders will be essential in driving these ambitious goals forward.

 

Overall Business Process Automation Manager Responsibilities:

1) Executes strategy towards an ambition to become a Digital Knowledge hub in the Technology dimension (this dimension includes Automation, Analytics and AI).

2) Accountable for the full portfolio of projects under the scope of NBS Manila covering local, global and market automations (RPA) and or analytics (PowerBI).

3) Partners with Nestle Business Units/Zone/Functional and Markets to offer best solution to cover their need in the space of automation or analytics with justifiable cost and proper ROI. Works closely with IT BRMs and FRMs in the Business and at Regional and Functional level.

4) Manages execution of Center and agreed with market portfolio of projects, ensuring resource availability and timely execution within agreed budget. Tracks and monitors resource allocation and costs generated for the Center.

5) Responsible for evaluation, design, and implementation of technical solution in Automation to improve service delivery and business efficiency.

6) Ensures only reliable data sources are used, following development standards. Ensures both development and sustain of designed and/or co-designed solutions.

7) Ensures IT compliance and development standards are being followed. Ensures only reliable data sources are used, following analytics frameworks and development standards. Ensures both development and sustain of designed and/or co-designed solutions.

8) Holds accountabilities for all the services provided by NBS Manila for RPA and Analytics (PowerBI) within product and platform groups in scope. Drives POCs to promote digital and deliver innovative solutions

9) Works with Nestle Globally approved suppliers to drive opportunities identification and delivery of competitive solutions for the NBS Center and Business. Partners with local suppliers to ensure resource and capabilities are available in case or urgent demand.

10) Builds and maintains relationship with product and platform group managers, developing a clear understanding of product/platform strategy and works with supplier teams to ensure good coordination of product changes without impacting BSA Products Consumers and business processes.

Operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring solution and integration architecture compliance
• Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to recommend solutions for improvement. Leads the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the enterprise technology architecture
• Oversees, or consults on, technology implementation and modification activities particularly for new or shared solutions with the Architecture Community.

 

Security, Compliance & Risk Management:
• Overall oversight and accountability on target architectures meeting current and identified future security, compliance, and privacy requirements

 

Stakeholder engagement
• Works with ManComms Leads to analyze enterprise business context
• Works cross-functionally to accomplish assignments. Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization
• Collaborates with experts and architecture peers to develop products that incrementally deliver business value
• Helps the enterprise architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate value

 

 

 

What will make you successful

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, System Analysis, a related study, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. This may include but is not limited to Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Information Technology.

• 8+ years of design and implementation experience in IT, with a focus on Robotics and Automation.

• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments

• Strong experience of development life cycle methodologies (paper-based design, agile software development, rapid prototyping, lean start-up, KANBAN, and DevOps)

• Proven ability to define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and experience delivering them rapidly and with a high rate of IS/IT consumer adoption

• Experience in working with different consumers, understanding requirements and opportunities and translating them into solutions and taste-testing minimum viable products (A/B testing, etc.)

• Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English

• Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
