A DAY IN THE LIFE …
Supervise ocean shipments processes and execution in order to allow smooth operations for Nestlé ocean deliveries by:
· Managing volume submission and monitoring allocation variation based on forecast to fulfil Nestlé Markets requirements (IMS and R&P);
· Managing and guiding the usage of Shipments Management Systems, enhancing visibility and fostering collaboration across our customers and suppliers;
· Maintaining close relationships with Markets, Ocean Carriers and Global Logistics Procurement, solving issues and driving performances toward expected service levels.
Key Outputs:
· Consolidate volumes for annual tender submission and requirements from all markets
· Perform Health check before tender using actual volumes from Ocean platform including specifications
· Revision with the markets about significant variation in the volume for the tender including specifications
· Provide revised total volumes for tender based on agreed timing with GLP
· Contact market to align on revised volumes for annual tender (by January) and provide revised volumes for annual tender if necessary (by January)
· Share notification about allocated volumes and carriers for yearly contract to all markets (by April) and share new contract transit times per lane with DSP.
· Inform carriers local offices about terms and conditions for new contract and conduct local meetings with allocated carriers to agree on the nominations received for new contract and raise the request for the new lane after the tender announcement on behalf of the market
· Identify the necessity for more volume (outside regular contracts) and raise the request for additional volumes after the tender announcement on behalf of the market
· Check with carriers if they have the new awarded lanes in their system (email) and check the allocation per nominated carriers (weekly, monthly & quarterly)
· Share volumes to local nominated carriers (4 to 6 weeks prior ETD) and communicate to Shipping Lines about changes in Monthly Operational reviews
· Additional Operational activities and continuous Improvement & Projects
ARE YOU A FIT?
· Bachelor’s degree
· Significant experience (min 5 years) in freight forwarding industry / Shipping Lines (import / export operations)
· Experience in Physical Logistics, Project management in Supply Chain,
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and influence internal and external customers;
· Adaptability to change in fast-paced environment;
· Inclined to Continuous Improvement.
· Analytical mindset, ability to understand the story behind the data.
· Team player
· High tolerance to stress, personal time management
· Adaptability to cope in fast-paced environment
· Able to build strong professional relationship
