What to Expect:
We are looking for an Account Manager based at our Nestle Purina Canada Head Office reporting into the National Key Account Manager. This role is responsible to drive sales profitability across the pet category, with focus on the veterinary channel. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life:
- Be accountable for the strategic account plan, based on internal objectives, marketing, business development, and shopper marketing plans, as well as external competitive marketplace issues and opportunities.
- Leverage Category Insights and Shopper Marketing resources to develop and implement channel category and consumer centric strategies.
- Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
- Responsible for Trade Spend and maximizing Customer Contribution within Key Accounts by managing a budget
- Develop and achieve the sales business plan for the business by implementing the strategy, managing total trade spend, and achieving in clinic presence, distribution, and promotional targets.
- Analyse, identify, monitor, and address specific issues to achieve Purina’s goals for sales, commercial spend, share, distribution, and operating budgets.
- Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending, and volume to achieve all sales objectives versus plan.
Role Requirements
- Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
- 3+ years of progressive sales experience preferably in the Food and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Proficient experience with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of delivering effective presentations to audiences of all sizes
- Strong self-motivation and proactive mindset, with the capacity to think strategically to secure incremental business opportunities.
- Excellent leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, effective time management, exceptional prioritization abilities,
- proficient in project management, with a keen eye for detail

- Compensation Range: $103,000 to 108,000CAD
