What to Expect:
We are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager, based at our Mississauga Office, reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager. In this role, you will work with a dynamic team to strengthen, evolve, and grow the Dog Snacks & Cat Treats/Complements businesses, developing plans on beloved brands like DentaLife, Friskies, and Beggin’. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deep understanding of brand building, harness your strategic and executional prowess, and become a category expert.
A day in the life:
- Work on various projects across the portfolio
- Build strategic recommendations and develop product ranges
- Commercialize new launches and provide overall team support
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams
- Provide analytical data to support consumer and customer initiatives
- Manage innovation projects and implement with excellence
- Be responsible for launching initiatives, including research and volume builds
- Manage packaging, pricing, promotional, and distribution strategies
- Present monthly brand and driven performance reviews
- Support team processes such as budget management and priority status meetings
- Leverage data to recommend marketing strategies
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on high-profile launched
Role Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience in Business or Marketing.
- Minimum 2 years of marketing experience required, including leading vendor partners/agency teams.
- Proficient digital literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
Preferred Skills
- Analytical experience in consumer-packaged goods with NielsenIQ Discover/Answers strongly preferred
- Understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources, and environment.
- Self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills and curiosity.
