What to Expect:
In this role, you will provide essential support for various Specialty customer accounts. Reporting to the National Key Account Manager, the Business Analyst position is vital for delivering analytics and insights that help develop data sources and drive strategies in line with our key business objectives. This role is highly analytical and data-driven, necessitating strong communication and investigative skills to recommend effective changes to our business practices.
A day in the life:
- Conduct promotional analysis/evaluations to drive important metrics and optimize investment.
- Provide input to support Account Plans, Volume Submissions, and Trade Spend Management.
- Engage the account team to support numerical findings and promote standard processes in promotions.
- Act as the liaison in communication between cross-functional groups internally, focusing on Customer Insights, Trade Development (e.g., new item launches, seasonal opportunities), Sales Finance, Supply Chain, Accounts Receivable, etc.
- Handle and develop customer administration, including contracts, New Product Forms, pricing adjustments, customer listing base/distribution.
- Provide additional support as required on an ad-hoc basis within the Customer Business Team.
Role Requirements
- Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
- 2+ years of progressive data analysis experience coupled with 1-2 years of experience within a sales function
- Post secondary education in a Business-related field
- Previous experience in the extraction and analysis of POS data such as Retail Link, Nielsen, IRI, etc.
- Excellent understanding of technology: MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, advanced forecasting software, network applications related to sales information
- Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
- Financial foresight and an understanding of P&L drivers
- SAP and Power BI experience is an asset
