What to expect:
The primary purpose is to control the flow of inbound and outbound product to service customers at 100 % fill rate while maintaining accurate inventory levels. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a DC Operations Coordinator
This position is responsible for the day-to-day accuracy of the systems and information as it pertains to inventory and product flow throughout the Physical Logistics Function. This role ensures dock priorities are managed, and resources are allocated to complete the dock schedule as planned. Problem solving of SAP EWM issues. This role assigns work to all distribution centre operators to maintain excellent service levels to our customers
Role Requirements:
- On Time Reporting to the Business:
- Manages the process of verifying, preparing and identifying discrepancies for all shipping and receiving documentation in SAP, dock schedule execution, case fill compliance, quality of shipments, order integrity.
- Ensures appropriate standards are met when preparing pallet notes and entering the information into the pallet control system and checking the accuracy of documents.
- Provides direction and support to the distribution centre by maintaining, preparing and processing sales orders accurately.
- Acts as a technical resource for SAP yard management activities which accurately reflects yard inventory.

Preferred Skills:
1-3 years experience in a customer service role.
- At least 1 year relevant and successful experience in DC/warehouse management, inventory management, physical logistics management
- Experience working in a DC/warehouse in an Unionized environment would be a definite asset
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail with strong initiative, customer service focused attributes
- Excellent prioritization and communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power point required
- Good computer skills, experience in SAP preferred
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Off shift vacation coverage required.
