Position Summary
We are looking for a Veterinary Channel Manager based at our Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada location in Mississauga, Ontario reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for managing and executing the marketing plans for the Vet brands including digital and e-commerce for both clinics & retailers.
A day in the life of...
As a Veterinary Channel Manager, you will be a primary business partner to the marketing and sales teams, influencing and shaping brand strategy by channel for the Vet brands.
You will also:
• Develop strategies and plans to drive clinic recommendations of Purina brands within the vet channel.
• Work with marketing and sales to ensure sound category and brand strategy by segment
• Lead development of strategy through execution for e-commerce customers
• Provide recommendations on optimal launch plans for new products by channel built around insights and by working collaboratively with US teams
• Assess innovation performance through pre and post launch analyses
• Responsible for brand website strategy, management and execution of updates
• Proactively identify and assess category, portfolio, and customer/ channel opportunities and develops a recommended plan of action
• Lead and own the relationships with data suppliers to ensure best-in-class reporting, analysis & measurement is effective and efficient.
• Leverage market trends and clinic knowledge to identify insights which shape this content and have broader implications to portfolio and brand development.
What will make you successful
As the successful candidate, you will be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills, strategic business skills and time management skills. You will have proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gain insights and develop recommendations. You will need to be results focused, detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment managing several complex priorities with strict deadlines.
You will also have:
• 6-8 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing
• Experience leading the development of customer or brand business plans with execution and assessment of plan
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytics programs
