Position Summary
We are looking for a Team Lead for the Ontario and Western Region based at our Mississauga office reporting into the Director, Sales. This role will be responsible and accountable both national and regional customers, leading and motivating a team and managing customer contribution to NPP Canada. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the National Account “go to market” strategic plan and the integration of Retail for the customer based on the Grocery/Mass channel plan. They will also manage full responsibility for P&L management, trade spend, JBP/Account Planning and team leadership.
A day in the life of a Team Lead
• Accountable for the strategic Account plan, based on internal objectives, Product Strategy, Business Development, and Trade Marketing plans, as well as external competitive marketplace issues and opportunities.
• Accountable for Topline sales and Share development, customer contribution through the various banners banners/divisions within the National customer. Leading the process to negotiate Strategic Alliance agreements with the customer, and full P&L management including trade spend budget.
• Cultivates synergy and collaborative relationships via Integrated Commercial Planning between Product Strategy, Business Development, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain and Retail Solutions.
• Responsible for Trade Spend and maximizing Customer Contribution within the National Account by developing and managing a multi-million dollar budget. Ensures trade spend efficiencies by driving the pre and post analysis of promotion evaluations for stronger ROI&ROS returns through regular scheduled team QBR's.
• Accountable and responsible for Joint Business Planning with the National Account by executing ICBP throughout the planning process with the customer.
• Responsible for the recruitment and development of people resources under their control, oversees the professional development, progression and succession planning for direct reports.
• Accountable for National Account Sales Reporting, the development of sales spend budgets for OPL, Rev1 and Probable.

You will already have great Sales and Account Management experience, coupled with your highly organized, dynamic approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also have:
• Completion of a University Degree in Business Administration with a focus on sales/marketing.
• 5 years of progressive sales experience which includes 3-4 years experience as a Key Account Manager within a National account.
• Relevant experience in the packaged goods industry and direct customer experience with Costco, and western regional accounts would be an asset.
• Strong account planning, strategic thought leadership, people leadership, analytical skills, and P&L acumen experience.
• Technical competencies include: Excel, powerpoint, negotiation training and P&L management.
• Be passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo
• Have the ability to build great relationships with internal stakeholders from various backgrounds and work collaboratively on multiple projects.
