What to Expect: 
We are seeking a dynamic Veterinary Business Analyst (Vet BA) to join our team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will develop tools and business solutions that enhance analytics, enabling the analysis of both small and large data sets to uncover patterns and deliver meaningful insights throughout the Vet Sales process.
 
A day in the life:

  • Conduct promotional analyses and evaluations to drive NPP Canada NCS/CCS through efficient trade spending.
  • Engage with teams to support numerical findings and promote best practices, serving as backup support to Key Account Managers.
  • Maintain existing Power BI solutions and design new reporting tools to meet business requirements, ensuring proper documentation is generated.
  • Collaborate with the team to evolve Vet Sales tools in line with current technical standards and practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data flow and data warehousing.
  • Utilize diverse technology platforms and data sources to model "what if" scenarios for evaluating key business growth drivers.
  • Provide input for Account Plans, Business Plans, Volume Submissions, and Trade Spend Management.
  • Define communication flows for new and existing tools to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Support training initiatives for the Vet Sales Team on reporting and process tools.
  • Oversee customer reporting, internal reporting, pricing adjustments, and the customer listing base/distribution.
  • Provide additional support as needed within the Customer Business Team on an ad hoc basis.

 

Role Requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressive data analysis experience coupled with 1-2 years of experience within a sales function
  • Post secondary education in a Business-related discipline
  • Previous experience in the extraction and analysis of POS data such as Retail Link, Nielsen, IRI, etc.
  • Technical skills within: MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, advanced forecasting software, network applications related to sales information
  • Experience with Power BI (or comparable platform) is required and Power Automate is an asset
  • Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • Financial acumen and an understanding of P&L drivers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Be passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo
