What to Expect: 
We are looking for a Senior Customer Partnership Manager based at our Nestle Purina Pet Care Canada location in Mississauga, Ontario reporting into the Director, Category and Shopper Insights. The Senior Customer Partnership Manager will use sales data, customer research, market data, and industry information to better meet the needs of our unique consumer, to optimize performance. You will lead a team to develop, formulate, and execute strategies including assortment planning, shelving recommendations, floor planning, and best in class recommendations across 4Ps for the pet category.

 

A day in the life:

  • You are a subject matter expert with the pet category and up to date with industry trends.
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with retail partners across all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about storytelling, evaluating market trends and customer behaviour.
  • Drive strategic recommendations for customers thorough category review and analysis of 4P’s: Price, Presence, Placement, and Promotion.
  • Skilled in developing assortment strategies and future state planograms recommendations.  
  • Acts as the “store-level” and Industry expert for our customers through continual retail visits and analysis of industry resources.
  • Create and build fact-based tools, scorecards, and presentations to provide category insights to customer.
  • Challenge existing strategies and concepts, increase current knowledge base and insight through testing of new ideas.
  • Apply and refines category management practices and processes.

 

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Category Management/Insights or Key Account Sales in CPG industry   
  • Completion of a University Degree in Business Administration with a focus on sales or marketing
  • Broad knowledge of CPG industry sources and uses, vendors and their tools, syndicated sales data, Nielsen, space management software (JDA), retail POS portals and shopper insights platforms
  • Planograms building expertise, JDA space planning experience is an asset.
  • Effective communication and management skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
  • Proficient in gathering data and storytelling to deliver actionable insights and effectively communicating them to both retailers and internal teams through compelling narratives.
  • Understanding of the Canadian retail environment is an asset. 
  • Experience in people management and people development is an asset.
