Position Summary
The Senior Regional Sales Manager will drive growth and oversee operations in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, while managing the professional development of direct reports and leading budget development for sales reports. This role requires creating a strategic regional plan aligned with internal objectives, formulating account strategies focused on Assortment, Merchandising, and Sales promotions, and ensuring effective Nestlé Purina Pet Call Coverage in PetCare. Additionally, the manager will deploy resources based on sub-channel priorities, manage key regional customer relationships, and engage in coordinated commercial planning with stakeholders to enhance customer contribution in the region.
A day in the life of a Senior Regional Sales Manager:
• Oversees the professional development, career advancement, and succession planning for direct reports.
• Manages Regional Sales Reporting by creating and submitting detailed budgets.
• Holds accountability for the Sales (Consumption), Trade & PFME Budgets.
• Leads all operational aspects and drives growth initiatives across the regions: Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
• Develops a strategic regional plan that aligns with internal objectives, product strategy, business development, and trade marketing initiatives, while also addressing external market challenges and opportunities.
• Formulates regional account strategies with a focus on assortment, merchandising, and standardized Sales promotion processes.
• Ensures exceptional Nestlé Purina Pet Call Coverage in PetCare by establishing and supervising frequency, coverage, and distribution objectives.
• Allocates resources based on sub-channel priorities and strategies, including buying groups, chains, and independent A/B accounts.
• Addresses critical issues with major regional customers and oversees the implementation of the regional plan through team members.
• Fosters collaborative relationships through coordinated commercial planning involving product strategy, Purina enablers, business development, and trade marketing.
• Manages trade spend and enhances customer contribution within the region by effectively overseeing the budget.
Role Requirements
• 5+ years in progressive Sales roles with at least 2 years of experience managing field sales teams
• Post secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce or related field, experience within the veterinary or healthcare field is an asset.
• Open to travel approximately 15% of the time (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia) within the assigned territory.
• Experience working with other sales tracking software program and ability to analyze data and pull insights.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Power BI is an asset
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of delivering
effective presentations to audiences of all sizes
• Excellent leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
