Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Sales Financial Analyst to join our Sales Finance team at Nestlé Canada. Reporting to the Senior Sales Finance Manager, this role plays a key decision-support and co pilot function for Sales teams, with a strong focus on trade spend management, customer P&L analysis, and financial insights that drive profitable growth.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, solid business acumen, and the ability to translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders. Note: This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a Senior Sales Financial Analyst:
Sales Finance & Decision Support
• Manage trade spend and oversee customer financial metrics, ensuring proper controls around Total Trade Spend (TTS).
• Analyze Net Proceeds of Sales (NPS), Net Net Sales (NNS), and Margin Contribution (MC) for assigned customer accounts, including variance analysis, trends, portfolio mix, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead customer and channel P&L analysis, monthly business reviews, and trade scrubs in collaboration with Sales teams.
• Act as a finance co pilot to Sales Account partners, supporting financial performance, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Take a lead role in business planning, including account P&L forecasts for current and future years.
• Prepare and deliver clear, impactful financial presentations to Sales leadership and management.
Trade & Compliance
• Ensure accurate, compliant day-to-day TTS management in line with NAS requirements.
• Lead monthly Trade Management Tool (Osprey) and SAP reconciliations.
• Support timely and accurate period-end close (PEC) activities, with a strong focus on first-time quality.
Reporting & Projects
• Maintain, improve, and evolve reporting models used by Sales Finance and cross-functional teams.
• Manage complex vendor term calculations and analyze performance against targets.
• Deliver ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as business needs evolve.
What will make you successful
• University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Completion of, or active enrollment in, a professional accounting designation (CPA preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.
• Proven experience supporting Sales or commercial teams with financial analysis and insights.
• Strong ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Preferred Skills
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and modeling skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail with a results-driven mindset.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of trade spend management, planning, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

Compensation Range: $ 80,000 - $ 90,000 CAD
