Here's a breakdown of what the big picture entails for this program:

Are you looking for a Maintenance Co-Op for the summer and fall of 2025? At Nestlé, we offer a paid, 6-month co-op program in Maintenance during a school semester; (June-December, flexible on this).  Nestlé’s Maintenance Co-op program is a development program that provides the opportunity for select individuals to gain real world experience and an understanding of Technical & Production at Nestlé USA. The Co-op program consists of 6 month experiences intended to build capability and understanding of the core Maintenance Functions at Nestlé USA. As you progress through your schooling and work experiences, you will build your expertise in Electrical & Automation, Manufacturing or Process Engineering.

Whether you are joining the program as a junior or senior, you will receive an exciting introduction to the world of Nestlé USA and begin to understand the various departments working in collaboration to make our products. Our Maintenance team leads all aspects of maintenance and engineering at a factory location, from preventative maintenance to capital projects. Students are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and the chance to lead their own major projects.  The projects will vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of maintenance and engineering technologies.

We give students the opportunity to assist in the development and industrialization of projects and long term factory initiatives.  You may also have exposure to different experiences and projects.  In addition, these individuals will provide technical assistance to various internal departments to support business goals and will interact with Nestlé factory staff and as well as external vendors.

This program is designed to develop future professionals for our Maintenance function.  We are looking for individuals with the right mix of talent and enthusiasm with shown leadership skills, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.

 

Your primary responsibilities:

As an Maintenance Co-op, you will be learning and growing as an Engineer while delivering results for Nestlé USA through key projects, systems, and people. Depending on your area of focus, you may have experiences similar to the following:

Maintenance Function Potential Experiences Include: Predictive Maintenance, loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management, proactive-planned maintenance programs, technical stores management, equipment Bill of Material,  work order management, and service planning.

Requirements

Education

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other related engineering discipline
  • GPA of 3.0 and above preferred

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skillset for data tracking and results analysis
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
  • Demonstrate outstanding learning capabilities
  • Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments

Additional Requirements

  • Comfortable working with people in various capacities in a factory
  • Able to work any shift, including second or third shift as required throughout program experiences
  • Open to working in facilities where ambient conditions may be very cold, wet or warm
