Position Summary 
The Digital Retail Manager is a strategic leadership role focused on driving the growth of Nespresso Canada's E-Retail business across digital platforms like Amazon and key accounts. Leading the Digital Retail Team within Ecommerce, this position requires a strong understanding of the e-retail landscape, business acumen, and the ability to develop strategies that maximize online sales and improve customer experience. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives and foster continuous improvement across digital channels.

 

A day in the life of a Digital Retail Manager

Drive and implement the overall E-Retail strategy 
•    Manage the Monthly Business Planning process to ensure te overall yearly business objectives are met, lead and develop business cases to fuel additional investment to achieve growth targets
•    Identify and develop new growth opportunities for the E-Retail business across existing and emerging channels
•    Foster collaboration across local Marketing, Trade, Supply Chain, IT, and Customer Service teams to ensure cohesive strategy alignment and efficient operational execution
•    Align with overall eCommerce, Trade and Digital Media strategy. 
•    Direct link to external media partner and establish the paid media strategy across all categories on the Amazon platform.
•    Consider opportunities within Prime such as Prime student and Prime business.
•    Lead the team to secure the most optimal product portfolio and Nespresso ecosystem.

Oversee commercial activities to enhance growth and profitability of Nespresso Canada's digital retail business
•    Lead and develop the overall partnership between e-retailers and Nespresso, ensuring optimal performance through strategic planning, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement of sales and marketing activities 
•    Influence the digital Retail Development: drive the strategic development and commercialization of e-retail platforms by collaborating with cross-functional teams (Trade, Marketing) to leveraging market insights (D&I) to drive online sales growth (capsules and machines), increase online mix, and improve Digital Shelf metrics; work closely Trade Team to align, support, and influence retail relationships to meet E-Retail objectives
•    Build New Digital Channels: identify and develop new digital sales channels to drive the accessibility and increase household penetration of Nespresso products; lead development of business cases to gain support and investment to enter, test, and build new commercial channels

Lead and Manage Key Marketing Activities that Enhance Customer Experience & Drive Growth 
•    Elevate Digital Shelf: develop strategic framework and processes to ensure Nespresso improves its online presence across digital platforms; ensure KPI progression on availability, discoverability, and attractiveness
•    Oversee marketing campaigns to ensure they align with business objectives and drive growth.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing plans.

Lead the E-Retail team
•    Lead and mentor the E-Retail team: building a culture of high performance, professional development, and continuous learning; foster global/local relationships across both Nespresso and Nestle
•    Cross-Functional Partnership: promote strong collaboration with global/local Nespresso teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Trade, IT, and Customer Service to ensure seamless execution of e-retail strategies and initiatives
•    Collaborate with the account teams: ensuring alignment on global strategies and leveraging best practices to enhance performance across markets
•    Ensure team partners with global/local E-Retail teams at Nestlé to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices to optimize operations, drive efficiencies, and ensure the highest standards of performance across all digital channels

 

What will make you successful?
·    Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
·    7+ years of experience working for a major Pure Player required (CPG, e-trade, e-retailing)
·    Experience working for Amazon.com, Vendor Manager or Inventory Planner is preferred
·    3+ years of experience managing "other ecommerce" business whether Direct Channel or Brick & Mortar.com is a plus          
·    Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Finance, or Economics                                               
·    Ability to develop and present a strategic vision to Senior Leadership, securing alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders.
·    Strong Project Management skills with experience in strategic planning and execution required.  
·    Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
·    Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate, interpret reports and statistical data to identify problems, opportunities, trends and develop solutions
