Position Summary

We are looking for a Project Management Specialist (6 to 12 month contract) for Nespresso based at our Montreal office reporting into the Project Portfolio Manager.  This position works closely with cross functional project teams and the Project Portfolio Manager to create a strong culture of project management and delivery of strategic projects and innovation.

A day in the life of...

As a Project Acceleration Specialist, you will accelerate the effective delivery of the portfolio of projects and project management process of Nespresso Canada.  You will work with the Project Portfolio Manager in the delivery and stability of the portfolio or projects of Nespresso Canada.  You will also coach teams in Project management through an Agile mindset with the possibility to take the lead of some projects and help in establishing training sessions and support in the implementation of Project Management best practices.

 

You will also:
Accelerate the delivery of the Canadian project portfolio:

  • Accelerate delivery of strategic projects, either leading as a Project Lead or coaching teams
  • Provide additional project bandwidth to be more effective in project management
  • Coach and develop the department project leads and project managers or take direct control as PM to increase success

Support in the development of Project Management competencies:

  • Support in the elaboration and eventual animation of Project Management trainings and meetings
  • Help in setting up templates, guidelines and standards of best practices of Project Management to be used by the community

Facilitate acceleration of innovation in project management:

  • Proactively propose and identify innovative ideas to accelerate the buy-in of project management within the community
  • Remain alert and aware of the new trends in project management that could be applied to help the project management community
     

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will have superior communication skills, including excellent presentation skills, the ability to influence and work in a team, and be a tech savvy person.  You will also be comfortable working under a changing environment, be innovative and “think outside the box”.  You will also have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, specialization in Business Process, Finance or Engineering
  • Specialization in Project Management
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Effective Project Management knowledge and understanding
  • Agile / Kanban / Hybrid project methodology is an advantage
  • Certification in project management is an asset
  • Good knowledge of O365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, PLANNER etc.)
  • PowerBI and SharePoint knowledge a plus 
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written
