Position Summary
We are looking for an Experiential Events Specialist to work at Nespresso Canada, in Montreal, QC, reporting into the Brand & Media Director. This position is responsible for envisioning and producing memorable moments of engagement between Nespresso and its prospects, club members, as well as key opinion leaders and influencers, thorough events that can both create a high level of engagement “in real life” and ultimately create a viral impact into the online space.
A day in the life of...
As an Experiential Events Specialist, you will lead the recommendation and development of major brand events, championing the production of outstanding brand experiences while managing the logistic complexity and coordination of the large range of stakeholders associated to it. Due to the hybrid nature of events, the Experiential Events Specialist’s objective is dual: maximizing leads generation in the physical space while maximizing reach through the viral online amplification of the event. You will oversee 3 key areas: event strategy + production; stakeholder management; and performance measurement.
• Design & constantly reinvent Events & Experiential Marketing to keep the brand at the fore front of the high-premium food & beverage category
• Envision and lead the transformation of Events & Experiential Marketing to the new hybrid reality, building it as an amplifier of digital word-of-mouth
• Identify and select high-visibility brand-enhancing alliances and work with procurement and agencies to gain best possible support and rates to maximize Return on Investment
• Lead planning, production, execution, and monitoring of all consumer-facing Nespresso events
• Contribute to the production and execution of major Press & Influencer events
• Manage Event and XM agency & external stakeholders involved in the events production
• Pilot production planning, sourcing and deliveries to ensure smooth event execution
• Build and monitor appropriate system of measures to drive optimal performance and continuous improvements
• Champion budgets with full accountability and optimize outputs
What will make you successful
As the successful candidate, you will be an imaginative creator of experiences and thorough planner who reinvents the way we emotionally engage with our prime prospects, our Club Members and key representatives of earned and paid media. The Experiential Events Manager will combine the artistry of a story-teller, the vision of an architect and the rigor of an accountant to create, produce and amplify high-impact moments of connection between Nespresso and its audiences.
• Bilingual in French and English
• 5 year’s experience in event management in high-end consumer goods and/or event production agency
• Understanding of the Food & Beverage market a plus
• Robust experience in project management with high-level of logistic complexity
• Good understanding of earned media mechanics, notably social media amplification and influence
• Experience in managing agencies and external partners
• Networking, ability to connect all sorts of stakeholders
• Strategic thinking, envision continuous improvements
• Creative drive and out-of-box thinking
• Flair for aesthetics and engaging narratives / content
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
