Position Summary

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager Lead for Nespresso working remotely in Ontario and reporting into the National Sales Manager, Nespresso. This role is responsible and accountable for ensuring a premium and consistent customer experience across all regions and delivering sales KPI’s. The RSM Lead is responsible for leading the team to create an optimal Nespresso presence including efficiencies and quality in the execution of activities to promote the Nespresso brand (Machine, Coffee, Club and Sustainability).  

A day in the life of...

As a Regional Sales Manager Lead, you will assume the lead role on daily operational inquiries from Regional Sales Managers in the province of Ontario managing the RSMs by influencing an efficient and effective field visit schedule, supporting them in their relationships with field partners and ensure targets are delivered.   You will actively participate in weekly discussions with our demo agency and report back on demo results, planning, strategies and concerns.  You will support RSMs with relationships with trade partners, ensure Nespresso qualitative standards across all regions and you will manage the mystery shopper program.  You will make Nespresso the preferred coffee system in stores and be a passionate Brand Ambassador.
You will also:
•    Be in close support and supervision of the field RSMs along with their work and implementations thought regular field visits
•    Develop the knowledge of our people through individual coaching programs and identify the training needs according to their career aspirations 
•    Develop and support joint business planning considering the value of investments, sell-in plans and machine sell-out achievements
•    Analyze POS business data and define actions plans accordingly
•    Participate in meetings with store Managers/Directors, supporting the RSMs
•    Ensure the knowledge of the Nespresso system and new launches/promotions from POS sales personnel through the delivery of training initiatives
•    Provide continued overview of competition development 

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.   You will already have Progressive Sales experience, coupled with your highly organised, dynamic approach with account management experience considered a strong asset.  Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. 
You will also have:
•    A university degree in a Business-related discipline
•    4-5 years of successful outside sales management experience coupled with a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a team
•    A solid understanding of the retail landscape in Canada 
•    Strong leadership, collaborative/interpersonal skills, analytical skills, project management and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
•    Highly developed problem solving, strategic business thinking, and strong negotiation skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills with expertise presenting to both small and large groups.
•    Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities. 
•    You will be willing to travel 20% of the time and have flexibility in your work schedule sometimes being required to work evenings and weekends
•    The drive to achieve ambitious performance objectives and quality standards by planning and prioritizing work effectively.
