Position Summary

We are looking for a Retail Compliance Coordinator based at our Montreal head office reporting into the Retail Experience & Excellence Manager. As the Retail Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible to enable, monitor and improve/sustain Compliance across the Canadian boutique network in terms of the Operations and TQM scope. You will be the key liaison for Internal Control and follow-up on audits and action plans.

A day in the life of...

As the Retail Compliance Coordinator, you will ensure compliance and standardization of boutique operational processes and procedures, along with TQM compliance and safety in boutiques. You will also be the liaison with internal control.

 

•    Plan BTQ visits (physical and virtual) and evaluate the level of standards in order to ensure that processes and procedures are compliant and standardized across Canada;
•    Create & update documentation, processes and procedures for the boutiques (e.g. procedure binder, "how to" folder, manager's guide) / ensure HQ guidelines are implemented;
•    Ensure all retail operations policies, procedures are up to date with compliance standards (cash, inventory, Nessoft manual); to be clear, comprehensive and efficient as possible;
•    Develop and deliver training to boutiques;
•    Deliver monthly compliance scorecards and compliance assessments coordinate and track action plans with RBM's/BM's.
•    Quality, Health & Safety , environment: simplify and standardize practices across boutique network;
•    Escalate to TQM best practices & opportunities for improvement of current practices to evolve current standards & routines.  Evolve current inspections and compliance check towards digital solutions (paperless approach);
•    Security: drive adherence across network to security in Retail guidelines;
•    Drive Adherence to BCP process across network. Lead post-mortem of major BCP events to identify and drive initiatives to prevent and reduce operational impact on reoccurring disruptive events;
•    Francisation – law 101 : Assess adherence to law 101 for all boutique processes/routines of Quebec province. Drive improvement action plan.
•    Collaborate with Internal Control for boutique on-going audits;
•    Follow-up with RBM's/BM's on Internal Control recommendations after all audits / monthly check-ups and follow-ups with all boutiques for actions steps and key risk items;
•    NGA audit preparations lead.
 

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, we are looking for:

 

•    Completion of secondary level of education plus 2-3 years of higher education at a university or a specialist college;
•    Diploma in commercial, Horeca or equivalent;
•    Minimum 3 years experience in super premium HORECA or Boutique environment;
•    Experience in working with High end/luxury brands an asset;
•    Detail Oriented;
•    Excellent Verbal and Written Communication;
•    Able to manage multiple tasks;
•    Excellent customer service skills;
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize;
•    Ability to work effectively with a team and independently.
