Position summary:

Calculates Budgets, revisions, replacement cost and variances reports, and provides detailed analysis. Participates in cost improvement projects providing recommendations for managerial decisions; monitors and reports cost savings achievements. Requires a broad knowledge of Costing methodologies and systems. Responsible for the accurate reconciliation between accounting and Cost Systems. Consolidates costing information.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Support cost reduction efforts of facility by partnering with IP organization.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly variance reviews with appropriate stakeholders.
  • To include: labor analysis, material variance, substitution variance.
  • Support month end closing by performing journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Develop appropriate processes to ensure internal controls are in place and periodically audited.
  • Support auditing of inventory transactions to find discrepancies and prepare training as necessary.
  • Support and development of the annual operating plan.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of the operations.
  • Production tacking and reconciliation
  • Costing new materials
  • Health Checks
  • Deposits
  • Costing new materials
  • Utilities analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

PREFERRED EDUCATION LEVEL AND/OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS (licenses, certifications, etc.):

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional designation preferred (CPA, CMA)

 

PREFERRED TRAINING AND/OR Experience:

  • 3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP applications such as SAP, QAD


MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Understanding of various relational database query tools
  • Must be able to effectively communicate ideas, and be a self-starter
