As the Expert Electrical Engineer, you will set direction, priorities, and schedules for all key Electrical & Automation initiatives to be implemented in the factories. You will be responsible for monitoring progress and providing guidance in the areas of electricity and automation to ensure the successful implementation of capital projects and maintenance activities. Your role will involve providing guidance and support to meet engineering targets and objectives. You will have a significant financial and strategic impact related to the capital investment budget for MES, Electricity & Automation. You will oversee all aspects related to Electricity, Automation, Process Control, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and the Factory Automation System (FAS) infrastructure, applications, and resources, with a strong focus on internal system integration according to Nestlé corporate strategies, standards, specifications, and local codes and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, design as per Nestlé E&A standards and Good Hygienic Engineering principles, installation, start-up and handover at pre-determined guaranteed performance, all the equipment and lines included in his/her area of responsibility.
- Ensure alignment of the process with the final customers in production.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on power distribution and automation equipment. Guardian of the power distribution Ensure Power Quality
- Keep electrical power distribution and automation drawings and documentation updated
- Manage the instrument calibration program for regulatory and quality compliance, Perform troubleshooting in case of problems and ensure the PLC or HMI applications are properly managed
- Manage lifecycle planning of the electrical and automation equipment
- Early management of the operational, environmental safety and technical aspects of the line to ensure a smooth product commissioning and handover to production.
- CAPEX- Prepare monthly reports with emphasis on timing and cost estimation in the area of responsibility.
- Lead multi-functional activities (obtaining agreement from other related areas), for Start-Up including FAT (Factory Acceptance trials), technical commissioning (with dry and wet trials), product commissioning, cleaning validations, and FDA validations in their respective area of responsibility.
- Close co-ordinations with other functions such as quality, safety, operations, and production, with special emphasis on QMS, HAACP and calibration.
- Develop themselves as an expert in their area of responsibility for a long-term support of the operation.
- Assist in necessary training for plant personnel and E&A Specialist
- Handover assets with as-built drawings, maintenance plan and trained operators
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years of electrical engineering experience required; food industry preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Capital Planning experience
- Competent design knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Project
- SAP knowledge desirable
- Extensive experience in AB ControlLogix, Wonderware In Touch and Middleware,
- Knowledge in applicable standards and regulations: ISA 4.1, S88
- Product management in the pharmaceutical or food industry
- Good knowledge and experience with power distribution in industrial facilities
- Process qualification, validation in the pharmaceutical or food industry IQ, OQ, PQ
- FDA & GMP/GAMP regulation
- Process automation, PLC & SCADA systems, APC
