Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:  Performs repairs and maintenance of industrial services equipment under minimal supervision in the assigned areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs repairs and maintenance of industrial services equipment under minimal supervision in the assigned areas.

This position will encompass areas dealing with water chemistry, steam generation, various pumps, spiral freezers, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, and dryers.

An Industrial Services Mechanic must convey a basic aptitude of troubleshooting.

Basic Computer skills will be necessary in troubleshooting as well as entering daily data.

Works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and layouts.

Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment that is facility related.

The positions requires CIRO certification at the completion of two years of service. All necessary training materials and courses will be provided.

 Responsibilities:

Intermediate knowledge of the basic fundamentals of maintenance
Knowledge of basic electricity and electronics including safety and PPE
Able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and use electrical measuring instruments
Able to work with basic hand tools. (Basic knowledge and safety)
Knowledge of water chemistry
Able to perform intermediate plumbing systems maintenance
Working knowledge of steam generation
Must be competent with maintenance and repairs of pumps, spiral freezers, air compressors, and dryers.
Minimum of two years industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.
Documentation of daily duties and tasks.


Qualifications - External
Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
Must meet minimum testing requirements as defined by nestle of Mt. Sterling KY
Good math aptitude and detail orientation
Strong Communications and interpersonal skills.
Good Mechanical and electrical skills
Working knowledge of Lock out Tag out system.
Be able to read and comprehend what is read.
