As a Senior Maintenance Manager, you will lead the implementation of Maintenance Foundations, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and the engineering components of Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), in alignment with global standards such as GI-205.0-2 (Nestlé Maintenance Strategy), GI-205.3-3 (Control of Maintenance Expenses in Factories), and GI-205.5 (Electrical Preventive Maintenance). In this role, you serve as a critical liaison between Production and Engineering, driving your maintenance team to deliver reliable equipment performance at optimal cost.
Performance Coaching
- Implementation of NCE process and systems including PM Pillar and its link to other NCE Modules (AM, GA, EM, etc.)
- Provide coaching to the factories on zero based budget creation and M&I cost improvement projects
- Monitor, Coach and improve the Maintenance and Improvement (M&I) strategy and objectives in the factories/facilities
- Active involvement on continuous improvement, networking and sharing information within the M&I community
- Co-lead (with operations / ME) the development and execution of the AI improvement plan and provide coaching to the factories
- Ensure implementation of the M&I strategy, PM Pillar, and other initiatives are fully aligned with with the internal / external regulations related to Safety and Environment,
- Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Nestle Good Hygienic Engineering (NGHE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Engineering Factory Compliance Audit Tool (EFCA), and market audit requirements
Analytical Thinking
- Create and manage the factory M&I budget in line with finance including maintenance cost improvement projects
- Active involvement on continuous improvement, networking and sharing information within the M&I community
- Coordinates the use of corporate, plant and external engineering resources to ensure alignment with OMP
- Align M&I strategy with key stakeholders (Vice Presidents of Manufacturing, Market Chief Engineer, and factory leadership
- Monitor factory Key Performance Indicators and annual objectives and targets. Develop and drive corrective action plans and gap closure for factories that are not meeting KPI and other performance measures
People Leadership/Development
- Build, develop and coach maintenance leaders to drive results
- Leverage OMP to coordinate activities in maintenance in line with factory and business plans
- Align with Factory / market TPM / Maintenance Managers to ensure proper application of NCE Methodologies
- Develop and maintain competencies and commitment to achieve the M&I and NCE team’s mission and objectives
- Demonstrate and promote the company's values leveraging Nestle Leadership Framework
- Deploy training and communicate TPM / NCE / M&I strategies to factory personnel and others as needed
- Guide the factories/sites in the preparation of their PM Pillar implementation plan. Report and close gaps in the implementation plan including methodology gaps.
- Ensure existing maintenance strategies are retained until Viable AM/PM activities are sufficiently embedded to ensure continuing equipment and business performance, staffing, and employee skill levels
- Evaluate current progress on PM Pillar, driving the implementation of Best Practices related to systems, processes methods, organization, Compliance/Risk
- Oversee and report all of the Engineering and NCE Audit plans and progress for the factories
- Maintain a good understanding of all facilities including which lines, processes and utilities are critical to the business and where failure can have an unacceptable impact on the business, safety, environment or compliance with the law
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
Experience
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in a technical field, preferably with food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, of which several years were as leader of the Maintenance function or Factory Engineer in a plant
- Knowledge of TPM / Maintenance Excellence programs including Asset Management, Breakdown Analysis, FMEA, and Reliability Centered Maintenance
- Experience leading a Maintenance Improvement Team in a factory environment
- Supervisory experience in previous assignment
- Demonstrated experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility, ensuring continuous operational coverage and responsiveness across all shifts
