POSITION SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Regional Field Operations Manager to lead and inspire our QLD and WA Medical Nutrition Field Team to drive the success of our iconic healthcare nutrition brands. This dynamic and busy role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for coaching and developing a high performing team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

Reporting to the Head of Field Operations, you will be responsible in leading a team of Account Specialists and Senior Account Specialists in QLD & WA, taking full ownership for delivering profitable sales growth across the Hospital, Paediatric and Long Term Care Channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing highly effective sales planning activities for the Account Specialists in all Medical Nutrition channels within the respective region in order to achieve sales, market share, profit and expenditure targets through the effective implementation of marketing and sales plans
  • People recruitment, training, development and motivation to retain good performers
  • Support in the development of territory action plans across all channels in the region in line with business priorities
  • Track, analyse, report performances of the regional channel sales, and have an understanding of the unique territories and varying styles of what each channel needs for success
  • Commercial lead for the negotiation and management of contracts and tenders (Hospital and LTC) as well as engagement with local distribution partners and key external stakeholders
  • Effective utilisation of resources that support sales effectiveness (e.g. VEEVA CRM, territory planning, analysis of sales data to assist in field coaching and identifying training and development needs)
  • Excellent communications on a regular basis with all internal stakeholders including direct reports, Head of Field Operations, SFE Manager and Head of Sales
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external professional contacts, including key customers, external experts and appropriate medical personnel
  • Liaise with National Hospital and Long Term Care groups, distributors and 3rd party professional bodies as appropriate to build business relationships and negotiate sales agreements
ARE YOU A FIT?

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following:

  • A proven track record of success in leading a team and achieving commercial outcomes in a similar role in the Medical Industry
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in leadership, strategic ability, and commercial acumen with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Previous experience in coaching and development of staff and excellent analytical skills along with the ability to be an effective influencer
  • A strong drive for results that enables you and your team to achieve and exceed the commercial outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, with high level emotional intelligence
  • Experience working with a CRM system such as SalesForce
  • A tertiary qualification in Medicine, Science, Pharmacy, Allied Health or related discipline is preferred

 

Due to the nature of this role, it is important that you are comfortable spending time on the road with regular travel.

The successful person can be based in either VIC or QLD, however if located in QLD the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they are mobile to Melbourne in the mid/long term (i.e. 2-3 years). 

Please note that in order to visit your customers, you must have a current unrestricted driver’s license and be prepared for overnight travel. Please note you will also be required to attend Sales Conferences twice a year, each requiring a 1-week stay. Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
