Behind the success of the Purina brand is a collaborative team of driven, passionate professionals who are committed to delivering best in class initiatives. An exciting opportunity currently exists for an energetic Sales Manager to join our dedicated and growing Field Sales Team.

Position Summary

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will drive sales performance within your region and enjoy a role that incorporates people leadership, executional excellence and account management. Managing 4 Territory Sales Managers and 3 Merchandisers, the success of you and you team is critical to the success of the business.

 

Ensuring alignment of Account and Field Sales Activities, you will develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver category objectives and commercial targets. Joining a successful team, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Management of designated state budget and field operation cost structure
  • Achieving sales targets and trade spend objectives through the execution of monthly and annual work plans across all sub channels and accounts
  • Establishing relationships with key customer stakeholders and building the credibility of the field operations team at store and state account level
  • Optimising shelf presence by achieving Distribution, Speed to Shelf, Planograms/Layouts and Ease of Shop execution.
  • Identifying synergies to develop working relationships and competitive advantage with internal/external customers
  • Effectively managing your team by spending a minimum of 3 days/week in the field, managing call frequency and time in store, as well as learning and development and performance management
  • Regular reporting and business communications on field operations performance and trade spend
