Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

Position Summary
We have a fantastic, new opportunity for a Shift Engineer to join our Princes Gate production facility in Pembrokeshire.
The Princes Gate brand is now part of the Nestle Waters business. Nestlé Waters is committed to bottling the very best waters from the source and straight to our customers via the most advanced and sustainable techniques currently employed.

A day in the life of a Shift Engineer
• To maintain the basic condition of the machines within their line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns.
• Recognize and design out faults that will transcend disciplines in equipment, without compromising safety, play a leading role in preventing repetitive faults. Continue on a day to day basis to use own core and subsidiary skills.
• Analyse production and engineering methods/equipment and procedures and recommend improvements in their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
• Support the implementation of proactive maintenance programs/systems focused on improving Safety, on-stream reliability, increase productivity and reduce maintenance costs
• Ensure quality standards are upheld and monitored throughout the operation.
• Ensure all work activities are performed in a safe manner and that appropriate HSE documentation is completed to the required legal and company standards.
• Ensure that all workstations are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and that all staff follows the personal hygiene rules.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of production and engineering in highlighting/resolving technical/process issues.
What will make you successful?
• Minimum educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification either mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Self-motivated, consistently applies energy and enthusiasm to the job.
• Has skills and knowledge to identify root causes of problems and in setting plans to reduce or eliminate them.
• Sound judgment and able to make decisions.
• Proven ability to plan resources and priorities.
• Able to work effectively under pressure in a demanding production environment.
• Applies a “can do” attitude and challenges and supports the team to do the same.
• Maintains effective working relationships with all team members.
