As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing and providing Financial Services support (Account Payable, Accounting Operations, and Accounts Receivable). In this role you will develop and execute a financial services strategy in conjunction with business needs. This role will manage Nestle Business Services (NBS) Shared Service Center to ensure efficient and effective transactional duties are executed.

 

Oversee all Financial Service delivery operations (AP, AO, AR):

  • Establish, implement, and monitor customer service levels for Financial Services operations.
  • Serve as primary liaison with NBS Service Provider regarding Financial Service delivery operation
  • Ensure efficient and effective functioning of General Accounting areas such as Credit Card reconciliation, Cash Management, Fixed Assets Management
  • Develop and prepare on recurring basis management reports with analytics on AR, AP, Bank and credit Card recs
  • Work closely with Tax Dept. to ensure that Sales, Use tax and Property tax are calculated and paid accurately and timely

Deliver operational excellence in Accounting:

  • Certify amounts in Balance Sheet General Ledger Accounts are accurate, reconcile with Subledgers and agree to the necessary backup
  • Confirm accuracy and timeliness of monthly closing tasks including reporting and accounting entries
  • Ensure accuracy of Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts through reconciliations
  • Prepare reports to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Deliver operational excellence in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable:

  • Ensure through the team of Accounts Receivable Specialists, the efficient and effective collection of outstanding balances of B2B and Trade customers.  Reduce DSO across the business and improve chargeback processes
  • Confirm the processing of receipts from customers is completed accurately and timely
  • Ensure through the team of Accounts Payable Specialists, the efficient and effective payments of supplier invoices. Contribute to enforce a strong internal control framework with regards to PO process, supplier selection, delegation of authority guidelines. Supervise with the AP team the use of P-Card, Concur and relevant controls.

Develop People and Organization:

  • Establish the appropriate organization in line with the operational plan (OP) and international guidelines
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage a team to deliver superior performance and results against KPIs
  • Development of Finance capabilities within the market
  • Ensure development of careers, succession plans, development and coaching

Lead the effort of standardizing operational processes and policies:

  • Define Accounting policies, communicates within the Finance team and with other departments to implement procedures and controls
  • Drive and manage continuous process improvements across the team in conjunction with other stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency and cost optimization

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA degree preferred

Professional Experience:

  • 7+ years in Accounting or Finance role required
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing an Accounting team, strongly preferred
  • Strong people leadership and management, and talent development experience
  • Experience working with B2B, retail and online businesses
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working for an international group preferred                                   
  • Proven analytical thinking and seeing the big picture
  • Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders required
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and drive new concepts and processes
  • Experience working with senior level management, recommendations, influencer, confidence, deliver in layman’s terms
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills   
  • Strong Analytical Skills

 

The     The approximate pay range for this position is $124,000 to $150,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
