As the Finance Manager, you will be the Co-pilot to Nespresso USA Supply Chain Operations, this includes VDC, FDC & Bad Goods. In this exciting role, you will provide financial and analytical support to the Finance Director Operations in the increasingly complex operations.
Main Purpose of Job:
- Co-manage budget for Logistics by working in close contact with external 3PL (and 4PL) operators. Automate and help manage the transition back from Open book accounting.
- Co-pilot the transportation teams on sustainable delivery strategies and cost benefits of shortening delivery promise to remain competitive with Amazon.
- Bring transparency to the root causes of Bad Goods excesses across cross-functional teams and driving improvements in process and ownership.
- Perform monthly analysis of actuals and explanation of variances to DF, LY, OP while ensuring quality, integrity and reliability of all financial information and reports.
- Monitor the budget and controlling variances with internal teams and the external outsource provider while ensuring maximum level of internal control to comply with Nestle Group guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Control
- Establish annual budget (OP) and monthly forecasts (DF).
- Track expenditures vs. budget on a monthly basis and analyze variances. Establish the set of KPIs to review with Finance and Supply management.
- Analyze all major expenses and investments. Provide appropriate reports to local management and Nespresso headquarter.
- Coordinate and motivate the identification and realization of cost savings as well as working capital optimization.
- Support supply chain team on their budget follow-up responsibilities.
Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities. Active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives.
- Validate, review and track proposed savings (LERs, OPEX).
- Challenge assumptions for cost improvements in distribution network based on internal and external benchmark on distribution performance.
Supplier Control
- Establish and maintain close relationship with external logistic provider to keep proper flow of information and detailed understanding of their costing process and controls.
- Ensure adherence to contracted conditions with external providers (IDL, Curbside, etc)
- Ensure a thorough control process for external IDL invoicing process, with reconciliations, check, evidence and proper cost split/allocation by IDL.
Projects
- Review and make improvements to operational processes on bad goods and refurbishments and replacements of machines
- As-needed support on various investments and supply chain projects
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
CPA certification preferred
Experience:
• 6+ Years Experience required in the Finance and/or Accounting field
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team, strongly preferred
• Strong people leadership and management, and talent development experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Accounting and Financial Reporting knowledge required
• Proven analytical thinking and seeing the big picture
• Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders required
• Proven ability to quickly learn and drive new concepts and processes
• Experience working with senior level management, recommendations, influencer, confidence, deliver in laymen terms
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
