POSITION SUMMARY:

 

As the Finance Manager Co-Pilot Supply Chain, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive financial and accounting support to Nespresso USA Operations, specifically in the areas of Supply Chain, Recycling, and Bad Goods. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information and reports, while actively monitoring the budget and controlling variances. By maintaining a high level of internal control to comply with Nestle Group guidelines, you will contribute to the organization's financial stability and success.

 

This hybrid opportunity offers the best of both worlds. With 2 days per week based at Nespresso USA's NYC Manhattan Herald Square office, you will have the chance to collaborate with colleagues, build strong relationships, and engage in face-to-face interactions. The remaining days, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, allowing you to maximize your productivity and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

Planning and Control

  • Establish annual budget (OP) and monthly forecasts (DF)  with F&C VP and SCH leadership team
  • Track and report all expenditures versus budget on a monthly basis and analyze variances
  • Track and analyze all major expenses and investments and provide appropriate reports on a monthly basis to local management and Nespresso SC HQ team
  • Support SCH leadership team and their different areas on their budget follow-up responsibilities
  • Coordinate and motivate the identification and realization of cost savings as well as working capital optimization

 

Supplier Control

  • Establish close relationship with logistic provider to keep proper flow of information and detailed understanding of their costing process and controls
  • Ensure adherence to contracted conditions with external providers (IDL, Curbside, etc.)
  • Ensure a thorough control process for SIMs invoicing process, with reconciliations, checks, evidence and proper cost split/allocation by SIMs

 

Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives, validate, review and track proposed saving (LERs, OPEX). Challenge assumptions for cost improvements in Distribution Network based on internal and external benchmark information on Distribution performance

 

Internal Controls

  • Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation and compliance with internal controls in all areas such as Bad Goods, Supplier contracts/terms and Finished Goods Stock levels

 

Projects

  • Provides financial support; develop scenarios and sensitivity analysis to challenge and support investment strategies

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance or closely related field
  • CPA certification preferred                                                                                        
  • 5+ Years Experience required in the Finance and/or Accounting field
  • 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team, strongly preferred
  • Strong people leadership and management, and talent development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting knowledge required
  • Proven analytical thinking and seeing the big picture
  • Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders required
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and drive new concepts and processes
  • Experience working with senior level management, recommendations, influencer, confidence, deliver in laymen terms
  • Travel- 2x per year within the contiguous United States

The approximate pay range for this position is $150,000- $165,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
